COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMME ORGANISED BY THE ASUNAFO SOUTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY AND PROJECT MAJI ON MECHANIZATION OF SMALL-TOWN WATER SYSTEMS

The Asunafo South District Assembly went on a two-day community Sensitization of three communities Kamirekrom, Pafo Nkwanta and Adwumam by Project Maji from 11th – 12th July, 2023, to introduce and sensitize the communities on the Solar Powered mechanization of existing boreholes to serve these communities. The meeting took place at Kamirekrom Roman Catholic Church, Adwumam methodist Church and Pafo Nkwanta Pentecost church buildings. The number of people in attendance were about 860.
The project, at its initial stage, aims to cover three communities as mentioned above and will have 2,500 reservoir capacity for the community and 1,250 capacities for education and health facilities in each community. The objective is to ensure community buy-in for the successful implementation of the project.


The purpose of the meeting was to sensitize these communities on the mechanization of their existing Boreholes into a mechanized small town water systems by project Maji and get the by in and support of the communities for the project.
