COMMUNITY VISITS BY HON. ADUSE POKU FRANK, DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE FOR ASUNAFO SOUTH

CHIEF EXECUTIVE FOR ASUNAFO SOUTH FOR THE SECOND HALF OF 2022
The District Chief Executive Officer for Asunafo South District Hon. Aduse Poku Frank as part of his duties embarked on working visits to various communities in the second half of 2022.
Hon. Aduse Poku Frank visit was aimed at paying courtesy call on Nananom in all the Traditional Councils being the Kukuom Traditional Council, Kwapong Traditional Council, Abuom Traditional Council and Sankore Traditional Council.
The visit also forms part of the District Chief Executive’s agenda to bring local Governance close to his constituents.

In all these communities, the Hon. DCE held community durbars involving Chiefs and Elders and the entire communities.
Addressing the Chiefs and Elders of the communities he visited, the District Chief Executive said his vision is not different from that of the President and gave an assurance that he will be working hand in hand with the Chiefs in all spheres to bring socio-economic development to the people in the District.
Hon. Aduse Poku Frank said his administration will build an open system where ideas gearing towards the development of the District would be welcomed.
He therefore called for a collaborative effort for the total development of the District.
Community Chiefs who spoke on behalf of their people pledged their unflinching support to the District Chief Executive and asked for collaboration between the Assembly and the Traditional Council for the development of the District.
Government policies discussed in all the durbars included the following:
– Agenda 111
– Free SHS
– Planting for Food and Jobs
– Decentralization of Local Tertiary Scholarship Awards
– Cocoa Mass Spraying
Notable request from these communities were;
• Poor road networks
• Lack of portable drinking water
• Bad state of some school buildings
• Lack of street bulbs
• Youth unemployment
