The Asunafo South District Assembly held the official commissioning ceremony of the newly constructed Agyarekrom CHPS Compound on Tuesday, 18th August, 2026, at Agyarekrom, marking a significant achievement in the Assembly’s continued efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery within the district.
The ceremony commenced at 2:00pm with the arrival of dignitaries, followed by an opening prayer offered by the Pastor. The Master of Ceremonies subsequently introduced the dignitaries in attendance.
In his welcome address, the Chairman, Chief of Agyarekrom, expressed appreciation to all present and underscored the significance of the facility to the community. The District Health Director followed with an address highlighting the anticipated impact of the compound on healthcare accessibility for residents of Agyarekrom and its environs.
Following a musical interlude, Hon. Benjamin Yinkah, District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Asunafo South District Assembly, delivered the keynote address. He commended the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders that culminated in the successful completion of the project and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure across the district.
The facility was thereafter formally commissioned by Hon. Benjamin Yinkah, together with Nananom, officially declaring it open for the provision of healthcare services to the community.
The Chairman delivered closing remarks, expressing gratitude to all who participated in and contributed to the success of the event, after which the Chief Imam offered the closing prayer to conclude the ceremony.
The Assembly extends its sincere appreciation to all dignitaries, stakeholders, and community members whose support and cooperation made this milestone possible.
