The Asunafo South District Assembly in its quest to protect the lives of its citizens from harm and vulnerability owns a transitional home in the District to house vulnerable people who are in need of care and protection. This Vulnerable groups include abandoned children, missing Children, abused Children, Street Children, the elderly (aged), Persons with Disabilities and other vulnerable groups experiencing any form of critical situation.
The home is to give a temporal support to these vulnerable groups while their case of Vulnerability is investigated and outcomes worked on before they are placed into a permanent home or reunited with families.

Management
The house is being managed by the department and has a female care giver that takes care of the home and victims.
The house consists of a kitchen, two bedrooms with washroom facility, the rooms are allocated by sex that is male and female (1 each). The house is connected with electricity and well ventilated.
Challenges
The home only has one female care giver who takes care of children and other female adults who are in housed for care and protection. There are not enough beds to accommodate more than two victims in a room when the need arise.
Recommendation
The department made the following recommendations to the management of the Assembly:
1. That, more beds should be provided for the home to accommodate more vulnerable people when the need arises.
2. That the home should have at least three care givers, two females and one male who will take care of both sexes to ensure the comfort of persons placed in the home.
3. That, caregivers should be provided with accommodation in the home to ensure a 24 hours vigilance for victims.
