The Asunafo South District Assembly has held a presentation session for four (4) National Service Personnel posted to the district to support revenue mobilization efforts, with a specific focus on identifying and addressing barriers to effective revenue collection within the district.
The presentation formed part of the orientation and engagement process aimed at familiarizing the personnel with the Assembly’s revenue systems, operational challenges, and expectations. Discussions highlighted key barriers affecting revenue collection, including operational gaps, compliance issues, and logistical constraints across various communities within the district.
The National Service Personnel, who will undertake their one-year mandatory national service, are expected to support revenue collectors in the field, assist with data collection and reporting, and contribute to strategies aimed at improving internally generated funds (IGF).
Management of the Assembly welcomed the personnel and emphasized the importance of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork in supporting revenue mobilization. The engagement also provided an opportunity for questions, clarifications, and shared understanding of roles and responsibilities.
The Asunafo South District Assembly remains committed to strengthening revenue mobilization systems to support effective service delivery and development across the district
