The Asunafo South District Assembly, in collaboration with the District Chief Executive (DCE), has distributed essential livelihood items to Persons with Disability (PWDs) as part of its commitment to inclusive development and economic empowerment.
The support package was carefully designed to help beneficiaries start or expand small income-generating activities, promote self-reliance, and reduce dependency. Items distributed included refrigerators, wheelchairs, assorted drinks, and other working tools, tailored to meet the practical needs of the recipients.
Speaking at the event, the District Chief Executive emphasized that the initiative goes beyond welfare, focusing instead on empowerment and dignity. The Assembly remains committed to ensuring that no group is left behind in the district’s development agenda.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, noting that the items will significantly improve their ability to earn a living and support their families.
This initiative reinforces Asunafo South’s resolve to build an inclusive economy where everyone has a fair chance to succeed.
