The Asunafo South District Assembly is making steady progress on a new education infrastructure project at Sankore-Beposo, aimed at improving access to quality early childhood education for children in the community.
Construction is currently underway on a 2-unit Kindergarten (KG) Block, an elevated concrete water stand, and the provision of a 350-litre polytank — a combined package of works designed to provide a safe, functional, and well-resourced learning environment for the community’s youngest learners.
The 2-unit KG block will provide dedicated classroom space for kindergarten pupils in Sankore-Beposo, easing overcrowding in existing facilities and giving children a proper foundation for early learning. Adequate, purpose-built classroom space at this level is widely recognized as critical to child development, as it directly affects attendance, engagement, and long-term educational outcomes.
To support a conducive learning environment, the project also includes an elevated concrete stand fitted with a 350-litre polytank. This addition will ensure a reliable water supply for the school, supporting sanitation and hygiene practices for both pupils and staff — an essential complement to the new classroom facilities.
The project is being financed through the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), underscoring the Assembly’s continued commitment to expanding access to quality education infrastructure across Asunafo South District.
Once completed, the KG block at Sankore-Beposo is expected to significantly improve early childhood education outcomes in the community, providing a safe and well-equipped space for young learners to begin their educational journey.
The Assembly has indicated that work on the project continues, with the Sankore-Beposo community looking forward to its completion and commissioning.
