On 9th February, 2026, the Asunafo South District Assembly, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, presented financial support in the form of cheques to twenty (20) Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) at the Assembly Hall.
The presentation was led by the District Chief Executive, Benjamin Yinkah, who reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to promoting inclusive development and improving the welfare of vulnerable groups within the district. He noted that the financial assistance is intended to support beneficiaries in meeting their medical and educational needs, thereby enhancing their well-being and opportunities for personal growth.
The beneficiaries received the cheques as part of the Assembly’s social protection interventions aimed at providing direct and timely support to persons with disabilities. The initiative underscores the Assembly’s continued efforts to ensure equal access to essential services and improve the quality of life for all residents.
The Asunafo South District Assembly remains dedicated to implementing programmes and partnerships that promote inclusion, empowerment, and sustainable development throughout the district.
