The Asunafo South District Assembly on Thursday, 15th January 2026, held a Staff Durbar aimed at strengthening internal coordination, improving staff performance, and enhancing workplace welfare.
The durbar commenced with a self-introduction session, allowing staff members to formally acquaint themselves and promote collaboration across departments and units. This was followed by the introduction of newly posted staff by the Human Resource Department, who were officially welcomed and encouraged to integrate fully into the Assembly’s work culture.
Delivering a message to staff, the District Coordinating Director emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, teamwork, and commitment to duty. Staff were urged to demonstrate a positive attitude to work and align their efforts with the Assembly’s development objectives.
Management subsequently engaged staff on key administrative and operational issues, including:
• Attitude to work and workplace ethics
• Departmental and unit Action Plans for effective service delivery
• The Performance Appraisal system and staff responsibilities
• Leave roster planning and approval procedures
• Schedules of duties to ensure accountability and efficiency
The durbar also provided a platform for open discussion on staff welfare, during which members raised concerns and shared suggestions aimed at improving working conditions and staff motivation.
The Staff Durbar reaffirmed Management’s commitment to inclusive leadership, transparency, and continuous engagement with staff. The Assembly remains focused on building a motivated workforce capable of delivering efficient and responsive services to the people of Asunafo South District.
